Another excellent run from THE TIN MAN secured him a third place in The Gp1 Haydock Sprint.  Although he goes in very soft ground it restricts his electric turn of foot we see on firmer ground.  It was very depressing listening to the rain throughout the night knowing the ground was getting softer and softer.  it was in fact softer than the previous year but not as rough and cut up.  The race proved to be very rough for THE TIN MAN as he received a hell of a bang from Growl coming out of the stalls which knocked him for six and was then stuck to far back.  Anyway he again ran an excellent race and we are now looking forward to the Qipco Cahmpions Day at Ascot in October.

The previous day the M6 was closed only twenty miles from Haydock which meant that THE TIN MAN was stuck in his horsebox for nearly five hours and that the journey from Newmarket took ten hours rather than four/five.

On Friday MAGICAL DREAMER who was running in the 5f Handicap ran yet another great race to finish second.  She likes soft ground but was against some big geldings who were that bit stronger than her and got through the very soft ground more easily.  She has a great attitude and always runs her best.  i hope for her sake that she is able to get her head in front again soon and then she can have a nice holiday.
