We hope that PTARMIGAN RIDGE will fly home in the 5.10pm 7f Betvictor’s £priceup Builder Handicap (Class 4) (4yo+ 0-80) at Leicester this afternoon. Unfortunately it will not be as soft as he would like it to be but hopefully it wont be firmer than good. He won well here last year but it was very soft. He seems in good form at home and has been doing some swimming which he enjoys very much. It looks quite a trappy race.
MASTER ARCHER has been declared to run in the 8.30pm 2m (1m7f218y) Bet At Racing UK.com Handicap (Jockey Club Grassroots Flat Stayers’ Qualifier) (Class 4) (4yo+ 0-80). He has now been second seven times consecutively on the flat and we so want him to get his head in front. Every jockey says that he is honest but he just stays and stays and gets done for a turn of foot. He is wearing a visor on Wednesday just to help him concentrate but I dont think it makes much difference to him. Some of his partners are also involved in MAGICAL DREAMER and they had had twelve consecutive seconds!! Fingers crossed that he can emulate MAGICAL DREAMER who won on Friday.
EXCELLERATION has a number of entries this week at Haydock, Beverley and Lingfield. I am sure James will be looking at the fields to see which is the most suitable.
We are hoping to get SOCIETY PRINCE home from the vets tomorrow. He has been there for a month having been struck in to. He is going to need several weeks walking before the vets assess his situation and we can move on. He looks very well and has put on some weight which is no bad thing and there is no reason why he shouldnt be 100% again.
