There was a large gang of Fred Archer – Bend Or Partners at Kempton this evening to cheer home their horse LORD GEORGE who won the feature event of the evening The 32 Red 2m Handicap worth £15, 562 to the winner.  Equipped with a visor for the first time LORD GEORGE sat fourth for most of the race but two furlongs from home Dan Muscutt asked him to go about his business and although it was not instantaneous he in the end won well.  He had two smacks to wake him up and then he was off and won by two and a hlaf lengths.  Dan had trouble pulling him up and I think he could have gone round again.  He would not stand still to have his photo taken with his partners in the winners enclosure.

We have always thought that LORD GEORGE had more to offer than he was giving and he certainly showed it tonight.  Give him his due he has always looked quite weak and he may just be getting his strength.

All being well his next race will be on February 21st when he will head back to Kempton for a conditions race.

We also have his two younger sisters in the yard.  LADY BERGAMOT is now four and her owner Andrew Turner bought the yearling filly by Excelebration at Deauville last October.  We didnt buy the now three year old by North Light out of her but it would be interesting to know where he is now.
