We are very busy with FAR runners over the next few days.  Tonight PTARMIGAN RIDGE is running over a mile for the first time at Kempton.  He took a long time for his coat to come but he is looking great now.  His ideal race is 7f on very soft ground but we think he will get a mile on the all weather.  He has been swimming and getting turned out in the evening as well as his usual exercise.  He is very happy at the moment and we are hoping he runs a good race this evening.

EXCELLERATION and MAGICAL DREAMER are due to run at Newmarket on Friday evening.  It will be EXCELLERATION’S first run in a handicap and away from Lingfield.  All his three races so far have been at that track, one on the all weather and two on the turf.  MAGICAL DRAMER had her first ever race there almost two years ago during the July Meeting when she got left at the start and finished fourth.

Early Friday morning LORD GEORGE heads up to Newcastle with MAGISTRATE who is a half brother to Marsha and HIGHER POWER.  LORD GEORGE and HIGHER POWER re in opposition in The Northumberland Plate.  They both ran in it last year with HIGHER POWER winning and LORD GEORGE finishing fourth.  LORD GEORGE is rated 9lbs higher this year.  he had a terrible draw (17)last year so we are hoping for a better one this year.

THE TIN MAN looks in good form after his run in The Diamond Jubilee.  He unfortunately got shuffled back at a vital part of the race but ran on to get beaten a length and a quarter.  We were very proud of him yet again. He is not in The July Cup as he does not enjoy the course.  Instead all being well we may head to Deauville for The Prix Maurice de Gheest at the beginning of August.
