MAGICAL DREAMER won her second race of the year at Newmarket on Friday evening with George Wood in the saddle.  She looks to be improving all the time now and has really got her act together.  In the past she has been very hormonal but she seems to be growing out of that although she does swish her tail especially when she gets a smack which she does not like very much.  She is very game and loves her racing and has only ever been out of the first four once and that was her first race of 2017 when she was probably not 100%.  She has been a superb filly to have for the  FRED ARCHER RACING – Ladylove Partners as she has been so consistent and this year seems to be improving all the time.

The likelihood is that her next race will be a Listed and we will try and get some black type for her which will help her when she goes to stud.  She has changed out of all recognition in the last twelve months and turned in to a strong powerful looking filly.  I think we were able to afford to buy her in the first place because her size put people off but she is far from small now.  She really is a star filly full of character.  She wears a hood in the paddock to keep her switched off but she does not need it in a race.

I havent been able to get a picture of her winning at Newmarket yet so the one attached is off her winning at Goodwood.

Two races earlier EXCELLERATION had run another sound race to finish third beaten a length and a half.  The winner looked a big strong colt and made our fella look rather small.  He is growing up all the time mentally and when he gets a bit stronger we will ahve a very nice horse but in the meantime he is running very consistently.

PTARMIGAN RIDGE ran a very game race over a mile for the first time at Kempton on Wednesday evening.  He was just denied by a short head by Lawmaking who had just got beaten in a Gp3 as a two year old.  He had to come wide where as Lawmaking had the advantage of the rail throughout the race but it was a very game run from PTARMIGAN whose favoured ground is very soft turf but he has now had two seconds on the Kempton all weather.
